Healthcare team

Urgent care practitioners

We have trained and qualified senior nurses and paramedics who undertake triage. The practitioners assess patients requesting an urgent appointment or home visit on the same day, which has enabled GPs to increase the length of their consultations to patients in need.

Practice nurses

The Surgery nursing team at Rosebank Health offers a variety of morning and afternoon appointments at Rosebank Surgery, Severnvale Surgery, Kingsway and Bartongate. There are specialist nurses trained in respiratory, COPD, spirometry, asthma and diabetes,

You can make appointments with the practice nurse team for travel advice, travel vaccinations, cervical cytology, contraception, childhood immunisations, and wound care.

Healthcare assistants

The practice has a team of healthcare assistants who are responsible for carrying out Long term condition screening, ECGs, blood pressure checks, health checks, Flu jabs, B12 injections, INR monitoring, simple dressings, and ear syringing.

Phlebotomists

In addition, the surgery also has a team of phlebotomists supporting the clinical team by taking blood samples.

Community nurses

The surgery has its own district nurse team whose job is to support the doctors by providing care to patients in their own homes who are unable to attend the surgery. The district nursing services are available to all housebound patients.

Therapists

We have a First Contact Physiotherapist who works across all sites providing non-medical diagnostic care for musculoskeletal conditions. It aims to provide a more specialist and in depth initial assessment for patients presenting with MSK conditions.

We have a part-time Occupational Therapist who offers free, independent and confidential help and advice to patients with both physical and mental health difficulties to stay in or get back to work.

Fraility Team

Meet Our Frailty Team: Emma, Cath and Jenny .Supporting older patients with proactive, personalised care.

We are a dedicated and growing team of three, consisting of two highly experienced Frailty Matrons and one Care Coordinator. Together, we are committed to the proactive management of our frailty cohort, this includes anyone over the age of 65 who may be living with complex health needs, reduced mobility, or increased vulnerability.

Our primary aim is to empower individuals to take more control over their health and care, while helping to reduce avoidable hospital admissions. We do this by ensuring the right care is in place at the right time, whether that means coordinating community support, arranging timely reviews, or flagging potential risks before they escalate.

We take a holistic, person-centred approach, considering not just medical needs, but also emotional, social, and practical factors that affect a person’s overall wellbeing. This might include helping patients stay safely in their own homes, supporting carers, or working closely with GPs, pharmacists, therapists, and social care teams to create coordinated care plans tailored to each individual.

As a team, we’re here to provide early interventions, preventative care, and continuity for those who need it most, making a meaningful difference in the lives of our older patients and their families.
